Morgan Smith
Graduate of Columbia College at Columbia University as well as Mannes College of Music in New York City, Morgan became a Seattle Opera young artist (1999-2000) and, in 2001, made his professional debut playing Donald In Billy Budd. Smith is a Seattle popular, has appeared in more than 12 shows, including Don Giovanni in the title character, Silvio and I Pagliacci in I Pagliacci as well Riccardo of I Puritani. He also was Peter Niles, in Mourning Then Alive. A regular on the stage for concerts and in the orchestra, Mr. Smith made his Dallas Symphony debut in Bach's St. Matthew Passion, and was also featured as a member of the San Antonio Symphony for the North American premiere of Vier Praludien und Ernste Gesange, Detlef Glanert's orchestral interpretation of the well-loved cycle by Brahms. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is also on the list, as are the Requiems composed by Brahms Faure Mozart Durufle the Masses C Minor Mozart Vaughan Williams and Bach's B Minor Mass. Handel's Messiah, L'Allegro Penseroso Moderato as well as Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Bach's B Minor Mass, many Cantatas, as well as Bach's Weihnachts Oratorium.
